New Lino Prints at National Trust Cotehele

I’m delighted to share that my lino prints are currently on display at the Bull Pen Gallery at National Trust Cotehele. This beautiful space, tucked within the historic Cotehele estate on the banks of the River Tamar, provides a wonderful setting for local artists and makers to showcase their work and I’m thrilled to be part of it.

My collection of lino prints is inspired by the landscapes, flora, and textures of the Cornish and Devon countryside. Each print begins as a hand-drawn design, which I then carve into a linoleum block before inking and pressing onto paper. The process is tactile and slow, every line and cut becomes part of the finished image, and no two prints are ever quite the same.

At Cotehele, the connection between nature, history, and craft feels especially strong. The estate’s gardens, orchards, and riverside paths are constant sources of inspiration, and exhibiting my work here feels like bringing the creative process full circle, from the landscape to the print, and back into the landscape again.

The Bull Pen Gallery hosts a collective of local artists, and it’s always full of colour, texture, and imagination. Visitors can explore an ever-changing selection of original prints, ceramics, textiles, jewellery, and paintings that are all made in the region.

If you’re visiting Cotehele this season, I’d love for you to stop by the gallery, see my lino prints in person, and perhaps take a piece of handmade art home with you. It’s a wonderful opportunity to support local artists and discover something truly unique in one of Cornwall’s most atmospheric settings.
