New Lino Prints at The Blue Bramble Gallery in St. Ives

I’m really pleased to share that my lino prints are now on display at the The Blue Bramble Gallery in the heart of St. Ives, a town known for its strong artistic community and stunning coastal scenery.

I’ve spent many days wandering its narrow streets and beaches, always feeling inspired by the creativity around me. As a lino print artist based in Cornwall, to now have my own work exhibited there feels both exciting and very special.

The gallery is showing two of my linocuts: 'Memories of St. Ives' and my 'Cornish Chough' lino print.

'Memories of St. Ives' started as a quick sketch. I wanted to capture the working harbour, the rooftops clustered together, and that soft light that makes the town feel so unique. As I carved and printed the piece, it became a small tribute to a place that has given me so many happy memories of time spent with my husband enjoying the changing seasons of this coastal town.

My 'Cornish Chough' print was inspired by the chough, a bird that means a lot to people who live here in Cornwall. With its bright red beak and lively flight, the chough is definitely a bird that's full of character. I enjoyed carving the bold shapes and capturing its personality, and printing it in a deep blue tone that felt right for the piece.

Joining the The Blue Bramble Gallery means a lot to me. It’s a space that truly supports independent artists and celebrates handmade work. I’m proud to have my prints included among so many talented makers.

If you’re visiting St. Ives, please do stop by the gallery, you might spot my prints on display.

You can find The Blue Bramble Gallery at Market Place, St.Ives, TR26 1RZ.
