Welcome to My New Website

Welcome to my new website that will showcase my lino prints carved in the beautiful county of Cornwall, by me, Joanna Williams. This little corner of the internet has been in the making for a while, and I’m so excited to finally share it with you.

Over the past couple of months, while carving my latest linocut designs, I’ve also been working behind the scenes on building this site. It’s been quite the balancing act, squeezing in creative time on my days off from my day job, but it’s also been incredibly rewarding. The process of pulling together my artwork, photographs, and stories into one space has given me a new perspective on my practice, and reminded me why I fell in love with printmaking in the first place.

For those who are new to lino printing, it’s a wonderfully tactile process that begins with a simple block of linoleum. Each image is carved by hand, with every mark carefully considered. Once inked and pressed, the design is transferred onto paper, creating bold textures and striking contrasts that I find endlessly satisfying. Living in Cornwall, I’m constantly inspired by the landscape around me — the rugged coastline, ever-changing skies, and quiet beauty of the countryside. These themes often find their way into my prints, whether in sweeping seascapes, delicate botanical forms, or glimpses of village life.

This website will grow over time, and I’ll be adding updates about my creative journey, new work, and perhaps even glimpses into my process.
